Our dirt roads are still very hazardous due to ice accumulation. We are going to go for a 10AM start tomorrow, Jan 23, just like we did Friday. However, if the roads have not improved by early tomorrow morning we will be forced to cancel school again. We will try to make that call by 8:30 AM if needed. I apologize for the inconvenience and uncertainty this situation is creating, but we don’t have any other options.

A big thank you to our State Representative Aaron Pilkington for dropping by and shooting a Cub Cam session with our kids! The students got to learn a little about state government and the important work of the legislature.

The investigation into the rumors we informed you about yesterday has been completed. We have spoken to all involved and found there was never a risk to the students at Clarksville. The individuals involved will be dealt with appropriately. We are sorry about the anxiety this incident has caused, but we wanted to make sure everyone was informed and knew we were working hard to take care of our students. We also want to thank the Clarksville Police Department for their assistance with this issue!

It has come to our attention that several high school students have reported hearing rumors concerning a fight and subsequent threats to “shoot up the school.” The Clarksville administration and the Clarksville Police Department are working diligently to find the source of the rumors and to ensure the safety of all our students. If more specific information becomes available, we will update you. Again, these are only unsubstantiated rumors, but we always want to be as transparent as possible when dealing with school safety.
