It's almost time to kick off another great year at Clarksville School District! We're excited to welcome our students back for the upcoming school year.

To help you get prepared, we've posted the school supply lists for each grade level. Be sure to check the list for your student's school and grade so you'll have everything ready for the first day!

Clarksville Schools Open House is coming up on August 6th! 1st-12th families can visit any campus from 2:00–6:00 PM. Kindergarten Open House hours are 8:30–9:30 AM and 10:00–11:00 AM. School supply lists are available on the district website and Facebook page.

Given the chance that we might have severe weather today during school hours, we want to remind everyone of the tornado shelter rules. Most importantly, during school hours the students and staff have priority to the shelters. The shelters are not large enough to accommodate all of our students and the general public at the same time. Please help us with this matter by preparing now to find an alternative tornado shelter during school hours.

This Thursday Feb. 12, CPS will be accepting Valentine's Day deliveries from local florest. However, balloons and glass are NOT allowed on buses. Please keep this in mind when ordering Valentine's Day gifts for students.

Parents, just a quick reminder to please send students to school with a coat as the temperatures drop.

Here are the guidelines we follow for recess:
• 0–28° (real feel): Inside recess
• 28.1–30°: (real feal)10 minutes outside / 10 minutes inside
• 30.1–94.9°: (real feal) Outside recess

Please be sure your child’s name is written inside their coat.

Parents, beginning today, the form to come and eat lunch with students is no longer requiered. You may come and eat lunch with your student on a day that suits your schedule. Please have your drivers license ready when you enter the office as all parent driver's licenses will be required to be scanned before you can eat lunch with students.

Clarksville schools will be conducting its annual emergency evacuation drill tomorrow, October 15. Police and fire units will be involved with the drill. Clark road and the schools will be temporarily closed during the drill. The drill will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Again this fall we are having a special event in connection with the book fair. We will serve cookies and milk in the cafeteria from 9-11 for the first 250 people. The students have loved this type of event in the past and we have had great attendance. After they eat cookies they can come to the book fair (if they want).
