The Learning Services division of the Arkansas Department of Education has created a Family Resource Guide to help parents and guardians support their student(s) education. The Playbook is designed to inform parents about the key skills that students are being taught at school, including literacy/language development, writing, math, science, and social studies. Once the skills have been explicitly taught at school, parents can support their child’s practice of these skills outside of school with fun, interactive games and materials found in the Curriculum Guide Back-to-School Playbook’s activity section.
The Playbook is divided into 3 sections. Grades
K-2, Grades 3-5, and Grades 6-8. To access the Playbook, click on the link below, scroll down to the Curriculum Guide Back-to-School Playbook and select your student’s grade. From a smart phone, you can click the download button and open the .pdf file in a separate browser.
