Clarksville Junior High students will begin ATLAS testing soon. To help reduce testing fatigue, CJH will test over two weeks on the following dates:
April 28 — Math
April 29 — Reading
May 6 — Science
May 7 — Writing
Please avoid scheduling appointments or travel on these dates. If a student misses a test, they will be required to complete a make-up session.
To help your student do their best:
* Make sure they arrive at school on time
* Ensure they eat a good breakfast
* Encourage them to get plenty of sleep the night before

Parents/Guardians: Tomorrow's science field trip has been canceled due to a scheduling error on the part of the venue. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Athletes will need to attend 1st period class as normal instead of coming to the Junior High building.

Earlier today, our district shared the decision to end our partnership with Lifetouch. As a result of this decision, CJH has canceled our spring pictures that were previously scheduled for March 17.
We have been informed that some families are receiving automated emails from Lifetouch prompting them to pre-order spring photos. These messages were scheduled prior to our communication with the company.
Please do NOT pre-order any photos through Lifetouch.
We are currently working to schedule a new picture day with Wingard Photography, the company that serves our primary, elementary, and intermediate campuses. We will share the new date as soon as it is confirmed.

Today, a leak was identified in a water line, which required the water to be turned off to the main building for the afternoon. During this time, students and staff were able to use restroom facilities in the gym, and we adjusted our schedule as needed to accommodate the situation.
The water line has since been repaired, and water service will be fully restored to the building tomorrow. Thank you for your flexibility and cooperation as we worked through this unexpected issue.

Students ARE allowed to be checked out after testing is completed without penalty. Testing periods will not be interrupted for early check out. To ensure student safety, students will only be released to individuals on the student's contact list with a photo ID. Changes to the pick up list must be made in writing and are not accepted over the phone. Students who will walk home need written consent from a guardian.

Beginning this school year, report cards will no longer be mailed home. First quarter report cards — along with 8th grade math intervention plans (if applicable) — will be distributed to students during homeroom today. If you would prefer to pick up your student’s grade report in person, please stop by the Junior High office. Thank you for your continued support in keeping up with your student’s progress!
Clarksville schools will be conducting its annual emergency evacuation drill tomorrow, October 15. Police and fire units will be involved with the drill. Clark road and the schools will be temporarily closed during the drill. The drill will last approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Breakfast is free for all students this year in the Clarksville School District! We know that starting the day with breakfast helps students learn better — and that’s what we want for YOU!
To make mornings more fun, Clarksville Junior High is “spicing things up” this month. Each day in October, if you grab a breakfast tray, you’ll receive a ticket for our lunchtime prize drawings!
Even if you’re not hungry right away, stop by for a Poptart or pastry to save for later. Join us in the cafeteria each morning for breakfast and a chance to win!

Our district will host a flu clinic this week. CJH will be on Thursday, October 9th. Please return forms to school by the start of school that day to ensure your child gets their flu shot. Make sure you fill out each paper.
