Barbara Jenkins with Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative Corporation was on campus today to award Jessica (JP) Pianalto a $500 check for being a finalist in the AVECC Teacher Appreciation Scholarship.
This scholarship is available to any public education K-12 teacher working in the Arkansas Valley Electric service territory. Teachers were nominated and four finalists were selected. The AVECC Scholarship Committee visited Clarksville Intermediate School to interview school administration, colleagues, and students to discuss Ms. Pianalto's attributes in the field of education and to youth in general. Ms. Pianalto excels in working hard, meeting student needs, and being a mentor to others. Not only is Ms. Pianalto a great educator, she also spends her time serving youth through her work with Junior Auxiliary of Johnson County and coaching softball.
